The American electronic festival market continues to demonstrate its scale in 2026.
According to DJ Mag’s latest Top 100 Festivals poll, the United States placed 15 events in the global ranking - more than any other country.
EDC Las Vegas was the highest-ranked North American event at number two, while Ultra Music Festival in Miami placed fourth.
Coachella ranked twelfth, EDC Orlando reached number sixteen and Detroit’s Movement Music Festival appeared at number thirty-five.
The numbers illustrate the diversity of the modern American dance market.
Massive EDM events remain central to the industry, but house and techno now occupy an increasingly visible place in the same ecosystem.
Detroit continues to provide the historical foundation for American techno, Chicago remains inseparable from house music and cities including Miami, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego and Austin have developed major electronic communities of their own.
The 2026 ranking also included Miami’s III Points as a new entry, while Southern California’s Beyond Wonderland returned to the list.
For American house and techno, this matters because festivals have become one of the main places where underground and mainstream audiences now intersect.
An artist may play an intimate club or warehouse one weekend and appear on a huge festival stage the next.
The United States therefore enters the final months of 2026 with one of the broadest electronic ecosystems in the world - ranging from enormous commercial festivals to the local dancefloors where the next generation of American house and techno continues to develop.
