A major new electronic music event is arriving in Southern California.
Head Trip will debut at the Empire Polo Club in Indio on October 10 and 11, 2026, with a lineup connecting some of the biggest names in American festival culture with house, techno and global dance music.
Calvin Harris headlines the first night, while Swedish House Mafia lead Sunday’s program. Skrillex, FISHER, Chris Lake, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Dom Dolla, KETTAMA, Seth Troxler, Ben Sterling and DJ Harvey are also part of the event.
For the American electronic scene, Head Trip is particularly interesting because the festival will operate with just one stage.
There are no clashes between artists. Everyone attending the event experiences the same sequence of sets, creating a shared dancefloor rather than the fragmented schedules usually associated with major US festivals.
The lineup also reflects how American festival audiences have changed. House and techno are increasingly appearing alongside traditional EDM headliners, while DJs who once belonged mainly to club circuits now occupy major festival environments.
FISHER and Chris Lake bring the contemporary house connection, Dom Dolla and KETTAMA represent another generation of high-impact club music, while Seth Troxler and DJ Harvey bring decades of underground culture into the equation.
Goldenvoice describes Head Trip as a one-time event, making its October debut particularly unusual in an increasingly crowded US festival calendar.
For one weekend, the Coachella grounds will become a giant electronic dancefloor with no competing stages and nowhere else to look.
